Like every soldier, he carries everything he needs to survive, from his Mississippi Rifle to his blanket roll which is wrapped in a gum blanket. His cartridge box bears the CS on it’s flap and his waist belt, with a brass CSA plate holding his Confederate manufactured cap box. He also carries a saber bayonet and scabbard as well as a tin drum canteen and a linen haversack to carry personal items.
